September 30th sunshine, MLite-880 v1.59 firmware and a 15 quid preamp for my passive magnetic loop

 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yKDCZvTZ7uE

Hi there, I'm still enjoying the late September sunshine and warmth - it was about 23 degrees today but the sun felt hot! I can still pretend it's summer lol. A bit more on the MLite-880 with an update to the firmware and a cheap amplifier for my passive loop that only cost 15 quid, so it sort of doesn't matter if it doesn't work very well! Thanks for watching and 73.

 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mm8aB4GHdOo

Hi there, managed to copy a few signals around 7 MHz...the frequency display is actually very accurate, only a few Hz out - and I believe it can be adjusted. Overall, this radio has been a good experience thus far. Recorded around 14:20 hrs UTC in Oxford UK using a Wellbrook ALA1530 magnetic loop antenna (outdoors). Thanks for watching and 73.

Radio Tarma 4775 kHz, Peru copied with some good audio on the JRC NRD535 and my end-fed wire antenna

Hi there, more audio from Radio Tarma, which remains a very difficult catch from Europe. Here the wire antenna was out-performing the Wellbrook loop. Recorded in Oxford UK on 13/06/26 at 00:14 hrs UTC. Thanks for watching and 73.

 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EcHkBQrQkY

Hi there, great to copy audio again from Bolivia on my end-fed wire I use for my amateur radio activities. I think this set-up was actually working slightly better than my Wellbrook loop that evening. The signal picks up as the recording progresses. Recorded in Oxford UK on 13/06/26 at 00:07 hrs UTC. Thanks for watching and 73.

Hi there, it's been a long time since I copied a Voice of Korea KCBS transmission...and I didn't expect it to be on the 19m band at midnight. Recorded in Oxford on 03/06/26 using a Yaesu FRG-8800 and Wellbrook ALA1530 magnetic loop via an NTi AntennaJet RF splitter and GI1000 galvanic isolator. Thanks for watching and 73.
